Instructions for participants

These instructions have been gathered jointly for all participants. Please, read them through carefully but feel free to contact us (sisuxtrail@gmail.com) in case you have further questions.

We will update the instructions according to need so please, read the instructions also just before race day.

Race office / info

The race office is open May 13th at Kirkonkylän koulu (Koulutie 16, 07800 Lapinjärvi) starting at 7.00 am.

Categories with timing

All categories with timing get the number bib at Kirkonkylän koulu.

If you want to register May 13th to categories with timing, come to Kirkonkylän koulu, latest 1 hour before your start. You can pay by cash, debit/credit card or MobilePay.

Trekkers

Trekkers register at Kapellby skola. You can pay by cash or MobilePay. Alla pre-registered trekkers get their number bib at Kapellby skola.

Start and finish

The start of the categories with timing is at Kirkonkylän koulu (Koulutie 16, 07800 Lapinjärvi).

Trekkers start at the nearby Kapellby skola (Lapinjärventie 45, 07800 Lapinjärvi).

All categories finish the race at Kirkonkylän koulu.

Schedule of the day

at 8 am – ultra 48 km women and men

at 9 am – 33 km women and men

at 10 am – 20 km women and men

at 11 am – 10 km women and men, 6 km U14 years

at 11.30 – 2 km Children

+

at 8-10 am – trekkers (from Kapellby skola)

at 6 pm – Race closes

Gear and clothes storage

You can leave your gear and extra clothes (with your name and bib number) in Kirkonkylän koulu during your run. There is a voluntary fee for Lapinjärven Urheilijat.

Ultrarunners can leave their drop bag to the marked place at the start / finish area c. 15 mins before your start. We will take the bags to the refreshment point which the ultrarunners pass at c. 5, 15, 19, 29, 33 and 43 km.

Dressing rooms + showers

You can change your clothes and shower after the run at Kirkonkylän koulu. There are toilets both at Kirkonkylän koulu and Kapellby skola.

33 and 20 km

  • Drinking bottle, mug or backpack
    There are some disposable mugs, as well, but we warmly recommend you to take your own dish.

Children’s run – Robbes Lilla Trail

Children run a 2-km Robbes Lilla Trail starting approximately 500 m from Kirkonkylän koulu. We will gather at Kirkonkylän koulu c. 15 mins before children’s start and our volunteers take all participating children to the starting point. The finnish line is at Kirkonkylän koulu. All children receive a prize.

Refreshment stations

We have refreshment stations as follows:

  • 50 km: 13 pcs
  • 33 km: 9 pcs
  • 20 km: 5 pcs
  • 10 km: 3 pcs
  • 6km: 1 pc

We offer the following:

  • Station 1 (c. 3 km from start): water and Nosht sports drink. Salt. Banana, chips and salt
  • Station 2 (c. 5 km from start): water and Nosht sports drink. Banana, chips and salt. Ultrarunners’ own table + drop bags.
  • Station 3 (c. 10 km from start): water and Nosht sports drink. Banana, pickles, Nosht Vauhtikarkki, salt and chips.

Trash

All trash must be gathered to the bins at the refreshment stations or the race center. Do not drop any trash on the trails. Littering on purpose leads to disqualification of the participant. We are all responsible for leaving the trails clean also after the race.

Course markings

The courses have been marked with orange ribbons, orange arrows and orange paint.

Our courses

The SisuXtrail courses contain a variety of different terrains.

  • Ultra – c. 48 km – elevation c. 1020 m
  • c. 33 km – elevation c. 720 m
  • c. 20 km – elevation c. 420 m
  • 10 km – elevation 220 m
  • 6 km (only trekkers)

Maps

DNF and route changes

If you need to discontinue your competition or shorten your route, please inform the time taker who sits in a tent by the finish area about this. There is also a paper list by the tent which can be used, as well.

If you leave the event and not enter the finish area, please call our security responsible 050 356 2093 (Hannes).

Food

Every participant gets a soup meal after the run. Lunch will be served after 11 am. Please, show your number bib when getting the food.

First aid

Iitti SPR is responsible for the first aid. They are located at Kirkonkylän koulu and small first aid packages are available at the refreshment stations. First aid tel. 044 326 5505.

Parking lots

You can drive your car to Kirkonkylän koulu from where you will get guidance. Parking is free of charge.

Results

Results are visible on our website. The preliminary results can be seen in real time and the final results in 24 h after the race.

The prize ceremonies are held right after the first three runners of each category have crossed the finish line. Note! Please also check if you won in the lottery.
